The motorized side grips open up automatically when your device is close to the mounting surface of the dash dock, this is possible through the use of built-in IR smart sensor. Once your device is placed on the mounting surface the arms will close automatically.
If your device supports wireless charging, the Plenum AUTOMATA Car Phone Mount will also commence wireless charging on your device. Cool right?
