RSL Cabs had a humble beginning with returned servicemen establishing the organization in 1946. In true Australian character, RSL Cabs was formed under a co-operative statement where all members are equal.
By the early 1950s, RSL Cabs had expanded to a fleet of over 60 drivers of Sydney taxi and had moved to new state of the art facilities at Darlinghurst.
This period marked the pioneering of two-way radio service, with RSL Cabs leading the way as one of the first Australian fleets to embrace the technology.
